Yes it is worth spending 100 for the best quality layout tool as it will last a lifetime.

Are woodpecker tools worth it. I do my best not to buy a knock off and I have no place for anything made by Wood River in my shop. Their non-marking tools like this dowelling jig may be worth it to some people but I cant help feeling like most of their tools are overpriced as much as their square is. Ive seen similar jigs sold in the 50 range at places like Woodcraft.

Woodpeckers Tools are often seen as an investment as all precision woodworking tools are. With all that said I have a few Tools from Woodpecker and I enjoy them very much. In the case of the Ultra-Shear Turning Tools though I am not sure you could find a better value for turning.

I agree with most. But hands down the woodpecker tools are alot better made. Woodpeckers is really no different than any other brand in the sense that some think their tools are the best most accurate tools and some dont.
